Changed "Like any other community of practice that emerged from contemporary computer tech circles, permacomputing suffers from very poor cultural diversity."  to "Like many communities of practice that..." , because there are communities of practice that emerged from contemporary computer tech circles that are very diverse (e.g. Janastu in Bangalore, and The School For Poetic Computation are two I've personally been involved with) so in the spirit of the prompts in this paragraph, I think its nice to remember that diverse tech spaces exist
