+Solarpunk imagery, with a lot of plantlife in a carless urban environment, is getting more and more recognizable. Since permacomputing is concerned about many difficult topics such as resource use minimization, scarcity and even collapse, it may be a good idea to compensate this by allying with Solarpunk and its bright and hopeful outwards esthetics.

+When embracing Solarpunk, however, there are some pitfalls. First, it is important to separate it from [[greenwash]]ed technofuturism (which looks more sterile and corporate but is nevertheless often called Solarpunk). Second, one should not perhaps look closely into the technological details of Solarpunk works but rather take it as a general mood and mindset.
